    Food Bank Rules

    1. One applicant per household. All applicants must be 18 or older. By signing our application, you agree to follow these rules outlined below.
    2. PETS MUST BE SPAYED AND/OR NEUTERED TO QUALIFY FOR FOOD ASSISTANCE
    3. Must provide ID and proof of address with application
    4. A phone number of a valid e-mail address is required on ALL applications. If you don’t have a number, provide one from someone who sees you regularly.
    5. Provide an e-mail address or alternate contact phone number so we can contact you if your primary number becomes inactive.
    6. Pets must have been owned by applicant for at least six (6) months. We provide food for animals listed on the original application only. No additional pets may be added after an application is submitted. If a pet passes away you are not permitted to stay on the program if you add another pet.
    7. Food is only for pets of at least 12 months of age.
    8. We will provide food for a MAXIMUM of 6 pets.
    9. Our mission is to keep pets with their families by providing temporary assistance; clients should not knowingly add pets they are not able to provide for.
    10. There is a 100 pound cap per household of dog food per month**
    11. There is a 30 pound cap per household of cat food per month**
    12. Canned food will be provided as available and cannot be guaranteed.
    13. Cat litter will be given out as available, is not guaranteed, and will not exceed 20 pounds per month.
    14. We reserve the right to perform a home inspection and meet the pet(s).
    15. If we find evidence of abuse or deception – lying about pets, selling or trading food, etc. – you will be immediately and permanently removed form the program.
    16. The amount of food we give is based on veterinarian recommendation for the pet’s breed, age and healthy weight.
    17. Should inventory levels dip low, we will help more people by giving less food.
    18. We cannot guarantee the food you will receive will always be the same or the kind you are requesting. We will do our best to give a similar type that your pet eats. Our food Is donated from various sources and comes from generous people and companies in our community who CARE about YOUR pets and OUR mission.
    19. The purpose of the food bank is meant to ease TEMPORARY financial stress. Participants receive assistance for seven (7) consecutive months.
    20. Food is provided every 30 days. You will not be given food if you come BEFORE 30 days of your last visit.
    21. If you no longer need assistance during your eligible period, please let us know so we can help another household.
    22. Individuals with permanent, serious disability may be eligible for continued support (after verification of need). Documented service pets in need of assistance may be eligible for continued support (after verification of need and service pet status). All exceptions are on a case-by-case basis and will require a home Inspection, medical and financial documentation, and may require veterinary recommendation.
    23. If your pet is receiving sponsored spay or neuter and TWO CONSECUTIVE ATTEMPTS ARE MADE TO CONTACT YOU, YOU HAVE 3 DAYS TO RETURN OUR CALL TO CONFIRM APPOINTMENT OR YOU WILL BE RESTRICTED FROM THE PROGRAM.
    24. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason.
