6 1/2 y/o, 40 lbs
West Palm Beach, FL
Roscoe is one of our longest residents here at KOL. His family was actually receiving help through our pet food bank and then due to losing housing surrendered all 3 dogs to ACC. We rushed right in and pulled the whole family. Roscoe has seen his friends go on to their forever homes and wonders where this family is we tell him about every day for the last 1 1/2 years 😥
Roscoe is a very good boy and loves children and playing ball. He even dances for treats!
He shouldn’t live with cats and enjoys the company mostly from his people but can live in a home with dogs. HE NEEDS A FOSTER.
1 1/2 years in a kennel is not OK, please consider helping sweet lovable Roscoe 🐕💙

Happy Saturday from The Bigster!
Biggie is not really big though, he’s a little pocket pittie with a whole lot of lovin’ 💙
He has taken some classes with Jaime to help him overcome his lack of confidence with people. He’s so dog friendly that he’s even been helping our boy Drifter feel less threatened around dogs! To adopt 5 year old Mr. Big you’ll have to participate in a few visits with many treats in tow but we can assure you it will be sooo worth it! He’s a fun pup and would do best in an adult only home, dogs recommended also but no kitties.
Contact us with questions or to fill out an application to adopt. He’s currently located in Palm Beach County, FL 🌴 ...

In countries outside of the USA, Rawhide often begins its journey with a chemical bath to help “preserve” the product during transport. For the most part, inside the US, it is shipped in refrigerated containers to prevent spoilage. Translation: if imported, this chew treat most likely has an extra dose of chemicals. But, if it’s U.S. made, it likely contains fewer chemicals.
During processing, it is first soaked in an ash-lye solution to remove the hair and fat. Then it can be “cleaned” with water or bleach and/or hydrogen peroxide. In some countries arsenic, or even formaldehyde, is used in this process (banned in the U.S.). Finally, it is either left natural or smoke and other artificial flavors are added to entice your dog to chew for hours. ...
